J. GREG HERMAN

President

J. Greg Herman is a 1985 graduate of the University of Chicago where he received his Masters of Business Administration Degree in Marketing and Finance.  He graduated cum laude in 1979 from the University of Miami where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.

 

Mr. Herman has over thirty five years' experience in the commercial real estate business with emphasis in retail development, leasing, brokerage, asset management and property management, as well as 5 years direct marketing experience with two Fortune 500 companies.

 

On January 1, 2001, Mr. Herman, along with Brad Smith purchased the Austin Retail Division of Weston Companies and formed StoneCrest Investments, where he serves as President.

 

Prior to the formation of StoneCrest Investments, Mr. Herman joined Weston Companies in 1987, where he served as Vice President and partner of Weston's Retail Division.  There, Mr. Herman was responsible for the development, asset management and property management of a portfolio of shopping centers consisting of 6 million square feet, which was owned by Weston Companies as well as various institutional and private investors, as well as the supervision of the day-to-day operating controls of these functions within the division.

 

Before joining Weston, Mr. Herman joined Vantage Companies in 1985, under the MBA Executive Training Program with primary job responsibilities in finance, development, and asset management.  In 1986, Mr. Herman transferred to the Memphis division of the Vantage Companies to be responsible for the development and asset management of office and industrial projects.

 

Mr. Herman has served as a board member of Family Services of the Mid-South for twelve years, including two years as its President.

 

Mr. Herman resides in Georgetown, Texas with his wife, Tempa.
